I agree Fletching caters for all. I had one child that had amazing results and one child with Autism, Hirschsprung’s disease, sensory processing disorder among other things that did amazingly at Fletching. He may not have passed his SATS but he was very close to the pass percentage. He would never have taken his SATS at another school with larger classes. He would have most likely been put into a special needs school at a much younger age, this would have included them having to organise transport for him, which would have cost ESCC a lot more money. When approaching mainstream secondary’s for him none of them would have been able to take him and only one offered a placement with a full 1-1 EHCP, which he did not require at Fletching. Mrs White and all the staff involved with him were brilliant and went above and beyond to include him. Especially Mrs White and Mrs Orwin, they both learned how to do all his medical procedures and got signed off by his community nurse. All of this was done in their own time after work.
