I live in uckfield and choose to take my daughter to Fletching school because it is small (she turned 4 in the August and started school in the September) it’s friendly (when I was in year 1 I didn’t know the names of and play with the children in years 3,4,5 and 6) it’s nurturing and adapts to the individual, rather than expecting the individual to adapt to the system. It’s close and convenient (8 minutes door to door often feeding the ducks at Piltdown pond on the way home -not with bread 🤪) The links to Sheffield Park (forest school) and the church (often attending and indeed having the nativity in front of the alter-nothing more Christmassy) are all things which make it even more special. It is a gem of a school. My daughter skips in every day. Everyone should visit and then you will understand why we all feel so passionately about saving it and also the more who take a look, the more who will want to be part of it and the more it will be in demand.
